Day of Play for staff, students, and families promotes fun, fitness, and play

Charlottesville City Schools held its first ever division-wide Day of Play for city schools staff, students, and their families on December 5.

To encourage families and friends getting together for fun, fitness, and play, participants could choose from a variety of options including dance classes, arts and crafts, fitness, cooking, skateboarding, yoga and mindfulness, and more.

Thanks to the generous support of the Public Education Fund of Charlottesville-Albemarle (PEFCA), participants who submitted photos and videos of themselves participating in Day of Play activities were eligible for raffle prizes valued at $2500! Those who participated in the PB&J Fund cooking activity were also eligible for a free cooking kit donated by PB&J.
